Manchester United target Tyler Adams will be looking forward to playing at Old Trafford on Monday night, after elaborating on a previous visit to the stadium during his time at RB Leipzig.
Old Trafford remains one of the best stadiums in the Premier League, even though Sir Jim Ratcliffe has plans for a new stadium.
It’s one of the best, most iconic stadiums in the world – but United will hope to enjoy success wherever they move. Ruben Amorim hopes he is the one to guide the club at their new stadium as head coach, but construction will take years to complete.
United have a lot of work to do if they’re to be winning league titles by the time there’s a new stadium. The Red Devils are currently sixth in the Premier League standings, with a chance of being in the top four for the New Year.
Next up for United is Bournemouth at Old Trafford. They’re currently 13th in the Premier League but will prove to be a greater challenge than Wolves earlier this week.

Tyler Adams reflects on Old Trafford experience
Tyler Adams is one of three United targets who are playing for Bournemouth.
That means Adams is in line to feature against United, but it won’t be the first time.
Adams played against United for RB Leipzig in the Champions League before doing the same in the Premier League for Leeds and Bournemouth.

However, Adams’ first game at Old Trafford has stuck with him.
Speaking on The Captain presented by Verizon, Adams said: “I think for me, I played against Manchester United at Old Trafford during COVID with Leipzig. And that was the first time I walked into Old Trafford and I was like, my dream is really to play in the Premier League because this is what it’s about right here.
“This is what you grow up watching, whether you’re a fan or not a fan of Manchester United, walking into Old Trafford will change your perspective on everything. So I think now being able to go back and play there multiple times, have good results especially makes it a little bit better. So yeah, I always get excited to play against United.
“I mean, it’s just a special occasion.”
United remain interested in Adams as they weigh up midfield options ahead of 2026.

The United States international has Premier League experience, which will help Amorim conclude when he sees him up close on Monday night.
Tyler Adams record against Man Utd
Adams has played against United five times.
He won his first game 3-2 with Leipzig and received a yellow card in the 81st minute, and his last win came last season in the Premier League.

Adams has only been on the receiving end of a defeat against United during his time at Leeds.
He has received a total of three yellow cards against United.
