Matthijs de Ligt (defender): The centre-back has been sidelined with a knock and has missed the last two matches against West Ham and Wolves. Manager Ruben Amorim has been vague about a specific return date, stating he doesn't know when De Ligt will be back, and it's being taken day by day.
Ruben Amorim update: In Friday's press conference, the Reds' manager stated "I think he has something in his back. I don't know for sure," and added that while the player finished the Crystal Palace game, they must be careful as "sometimes he feels pain."
Harry Maguire (defender): Maguire is still out of action after sustaining a hamstring injury in the draw against Tottenham. The England international was confirmed to be 'still out' with the problem by the manager last week.
Potential return date: His potential return is being targeted for later in December, possibly the trip to Aston Villa on December 21 or the Boxing Day fixture against Newcastle United.
Benjamin Sesko (forward): The forward has been recovering from a knee injury picked up against Tottenham in November. There is hope he could be back in contention for the upcoming match against Bournemouth, or possibly the next game at Aston Villa on December 21.
