Man City are the “favourites” to secure the signature of Bahia striker Dell, according to reports.
The teenager has been nicknamed “Haaland do Sertao” or the Brazilian Haaland, and TEAMtalk claim that the Cityzens are leading Manchester United in the battle to secure his services.
Bahia are part of the City Football Group, so it isn’t a surprise that a move to the Etihad is deemed likelier than a switch to Old Trafford.

Dell will turn 18 next year and he’ll be eligible for a transfer outside of Brazil, but it isn’t guaranteed that he will end up in England.
There is also a chance that the Brazilian will go to another City Football Group club, where he can continue his development.
Dell has embraced the Haaland comparisons
ESPN Brasil conducted an interview with the youngster back in October, where he said that a switch to City would be a “dream” for him.
Dell was also asked about Erling Haaland, and he says he is flattered by the comparison:
“I’m very happy to receive that nickname. Haaland is [an] inspiration for many. He’s a guy I like to watch the videos for, both the positioning outside and also inside the area. I find my movements similar to his.”
What else should Man City fans know about the forward?
Since that interview, Dell has caught the attention with his performances for Brazil at the Under-17 World Cup. He received the Bronze ball for being the third highest scorer in the competition, having found the back of the net 5 times in 8 games.
Earlier in the year, the 17-year-old had bagged 4 goals in the Copinha Under 20 tournament as Bahia reached the round of 16. He has also made his senior debut for Bahia, making two substitute appearances so far.
