Ruben Amorim will have to go against his philosophy to expose Bournemouth's glaring weakness

Manchester United face Bournemouth next in the Premier League and other clubs have already shown Ruben Amorim how to beat the Cherries.

The Red Devils have a chance to make it back-to-back Premier League wins and four games unbeaten when they face Bournemouth at Old Trafford.

Bournemouth are in terrible form with no wins in their last six league matches, but Ruben Amorim has warned his players they cannot let complacency creep in.

That is because United’s recent results against Bournemouth paint a totally different picture with the last win over the Cherries coming back in 2023.

Iraola picked out Amad Diallo for praise as well as United’s new signings, and he will be worried about United’s pace on the counter-attack on Monday evening.

But it is up to Amorim to decide how he wants to approach the match, and he has frequently spoken about wanting United to control possession.

Under Amorim, United are leaning less on counter-attacks compared to his predecessors.

Amorim wants United to control matches, and the Red Devils are averaging 54% of possession in Premier League matches. Only Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are averaging more.
