The Ghana international has netted six times and registered three assists in 15 matches across all competitions in the 2025-26 campaign for Bournemouth.

Semenyo is under contract with Bournemouth until 2030 and the Cherries ace is a key first-team player for manager Andoni Iraola at the Vitality Stadium.

The 40-year-old Manchester United manager confirmed that he was referring to Semenyo and broke his silence on whether or not he wanted him in his team.

“No, that’s not that case,” Amorim said, as per Manchester United’s official website.

“I think there are a lot of special players in the league.

“What I feel is that, to summarise, they [have a] top manager, a top team, I really like the team and the top player I think is a special player.”
