Last week, TuttoSport reported on Juventus interest in Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi. Such interest would present competition for Newcastle United, who tried to sign him in the summer and are still keen.
The Turin newspaper reported the Italian’s agent had visited Juve’s Continassa training ground and Frattesi was a topic of discussion.
Frattesi has struggled for prominence this season, despite Inter refusing to sell to Newcastle because they planned to use him. With the World Cup coming up, there’s increased urgency around his situation.
Sport Witness have been informed the 26-year-old is still very much on Newcastle United’s radar.
The Magpies are not expected to have an easy task in January, though. This is because Juventus are frontrunners for the midfielder.
As of now, Frattesi is keen on proving himself at Inter, but if the right opportunity arrives, he is likely to consider his future in January.
Juventus have made initial contact, and would be ahead of Newcastle United as it stands.
Frattesi could indeed be on the move in January.
