Manchester United have lost just one of their last nine Premier League games (W5 D3), going down 1-0 at home to Everton. They’ve won more points in these nine games (18) than they had in their previous 17 matches combined (16 – W4 D4 L9).

Bournemouth are winless in their last six Premier League matches (D2 L4), last enduring a longer winless streak between December and February in the 2023-24 campaign (seven games).

Bournemouth have failed to score in their last two Premier League games, last failing to score in three in a row in their last three games of 2022-23 under Gary O’Neil. The Cherries have had just 18 shots in these two goalless games, compared to 46 in their two games beforehand.

Bruno Fernandes has been involved in eight goals in his last eight Premier League games, scoring two and assisting six. Last time out against Wolves, he both scored and assisted in the same Premier League game for the 16th time, with only Wayne Rooney (35), Ryan Giggs (22) and David Beckham (17) doing so more for Manchester United.

Among players to play 2,000+ minutes in the Premier League for Bournemouth, Antoine Semenyo has had the most shots (3.1) and shots on target (1.2) per 90 minutes of any player. The Ghanaian has also netted in each of his last two games against Manchester United (two goals).

Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes has created more chances than any other player in the Premier League this season (45). The Portuguese also leads the way for assists this term (6), despite only making his first one on 19th October.

Mason Mount has scored three goals in his last seven Premier League appearances, one more than he had in his first 36 games for Manchester United in the competition (2).

Man United vs Bournemouth: What has been said?

Amorim has once again admitted his shortcomings and slated his team.

Speaking ahead of this match he responded to criticism from former players, he said: "It's a fact that me as a manager of Manchester United, I think we are underachieving. We should have more points, especially this season. So, I take that naturally.

"Sometimes they don't have all the information and see Manchester United with the standards they lived here, always winning. It's hard for them to see their club in this situation."

He also revealed he has had chats with Kobbie Mainoo.

"I had some conversations with him, especially last year, and with other players, but about that subject, no, I didn't speak with him.

"I will be really pleased if Kobbie comes to talk to me about that. I just want my players happy.

"I understand every individual has their goals and the frustration doesn't help anybody.

"I'm not going to say what I would say but I would talk to him.

"I am completely open, that is clear. I have my ideas and that is also clear. I will not change if I don't believe it but I'm open to speak with any player. I love that."
