Manchester United vs AFC Bournemouth team news and match preview
The latest Man Utd transfer news and gossip as a first-team star could be sold next month.
The Dutch forward has been unhappy with a lack of playing time this season but has enjoyed an amplified role during the absence of the injured Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha. Zirkzee has only started three matches across all competitions, all of which have come across the last four games.
Zirkzee dropped back to the bench for the recent win over Wolves on the same night Cunha returned to the squad. He only managed six minutes from the bench at Molineux and could experience even less playing time with Sesko in contention to return against AFC Bournemouth on Monday. Ruben Amorim has reiterated that the forward is still a crucial part of his first-team squad, though United would find it hard to turn down a big money offer for him next month.

Zirkzee's agent holds transfer meeting
Joshua Zirkzee is understood to be a top target for AS Roma in the January transfer window as they aim to add more firepower to their forward line.
A report from Calciomercato claims that Roma sporting director Frederic Massara recently stayed in the United Kingdom to discuss a potential transfer after the Italian side defeated Celtic in the Europa League. Roma won 3-0 at Celtic Park on Thursday night and it is claimed Massara travelled down to London to hold several transfer talks.
It is suggested the Roma sporting director met with Zirkzee's agent, Kia Joorabchian, and received positive indications that a transfer might be possible next month. The report claims Manchester United have set an asking price of €50 million (£43.88m) for the Dutch forward, while Roma are looking at an initial loan with an obligation to buy if they qualify for the Champions League. It has previously been reported the Italian club would look to spend €35m (£30.72m) on a total transfer package, including a loan fee.
The report adds the next few weeks are crucial in Zirkzee's future as Roma contemplate a formal offer, or whether they will move onto other transfer targets.
