Manchester United are the next team to attempt to halt the Aston Villa rollercoaster when they come to Villa Park next weekend.

Unai Emery's men are currently on a nine-game winning streak in all competitions, with the latest victory a gustsy come-from-behind 3-2 win at West Ham United.

Villa had to do without regular goalkeeper Emi Martinez at the London Stadium, with Marco Bizot stepping in for his eighth appearance of the season.

The Argentine's availability will be just one of the issues concering Emery in his pre-match prepartion.

With this in mind, BirminghamLive has taken a look at Villa's current injury list and when fans could expect to see these sidelined players back in action.

Ross Barkley

The Villa midfielder played 13 minutes against Wolverhampton Wanderers as a substitute before being taken off late in the game after suffering an injury.

Later medical examinations found that Barkley had sustained a knee sprain which, unfortunately for Emery, was more severe than first feared.

Unai Emery said on December 14: “Tyrone Mings will be two weeks, more or less, and Ross Barkley a little bit more.”

Expected Return – Late February 2026

Emiliano Martinez

The goalkeeper missed the second match running at West Ham. It is hoped he will be back to face Man United.

Unai Emery said on December 14: 'Hopefully Emi Martinez can come back next week to train."

Expected Return – Man United, December 21

Pau Torres

The defender suffered a "small injury" in the second half of Villa’s 2-1 win over Arsenal.

Unai Emery said on December 14: “He is injured. He has a small injury. Hopefully Pau Torres in two weeks, more or less."

Expected Return: Early January 2026

Tyrone Mings

Mings sustained a hamstring injury in Villa's 2-0 defeat to Liverpool in early November.

Unai Emery said on December 14: "“Tyrone Mings will be two weeks, more or less."

Expected Return – Early January 2026

Jadon Sancho

The on loan winger will be ineligible to face Manchester United on Sunday, December 21.

Expected return - Chelsea (a), December 27
