Man Utd confirmed starting Xi vs Bournemouth, Benjamin Sesko returns to squad as one AFCON star misses out

Manchester United’s starting line-up to face Bournemouth has been confirmed.

A week on from the 4-1 win at Wolves, Manchester United return to action on Monday Night Football, taking on Bournemouth at Old Trafford.

There has been some uncertainty over United’s preparations, due to the forthcoming African Cup of Nations. This is the final date to release players for the tournament.

Bryan Mbeumo and Amad have been cleared to play. Noussair Mazraoui has not, as his opening game at the tournament is scheduled earlier.

Benjamin Sesko is back in the squad, featuring on the bench after returning from injury and illness.

United must return to winning at home

Manchester United are looking for a first win at Old Trafford since the 4-2 victory over Brighton in October.

That certainly feels like a long time ago, but there have only been two home matches in this span, the 1-0 loss to Everton and the 1-1 draw with West Ham. Prior to this, United had won four consecutive home games.
