How Manchester United’s players rated in the home fixture against Bournemouth.
Manchester United threw away the lead three times in their 4-4 draw against Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim’s side took the lead after 13 minutes when Amad Diallo headed the ball into the net. The Red Devils threw away that lead when United-linked Antoine Semenyo made it 1-1, but Casemiro gave the hosts an advantage before half-time.
Bournemouth came out flying after the break, scoring two goals in a matter of six minutes from Evanilson and Marcus Tavernier to make it 3-2.
The drama was not over as Bruno Fernandes got his free-kick on target in the 77th minute.
United took the lead for a third time when Matheus Cunha made it 4-3 just two minutes later. That wasn’t enough as Bournemouth made it 4-4 in the final 10 minutes to make it a game to remember.

Senne Lammens – 6
Made an impressive stop to prevent a header from Marcus Tavernier in the 28th minute, but Senne Lammens should have done better for Bournemouth’s third goal.
Leny Yoro – 7
Played really wide and looked solid in what appeared to be a new role. Leny Yoro will be disappointed to have been on the pitch for the three goals conceded, though it would be extremely harsh to blame the young defender for that.
Ayden Heaven – 6
Carried the ball forward with purpose on multiple occasions. Ayden Heaven is growing in confidence after getting a run of starts under his belt.
Luke Shaw – 5
Luke Shaw got pushed out of the way in the build-up to Semenyo’s equaliser.

Amad Diallo – 7
Before leaving for AFCON, Amad Diallo scored his second goal of the season to open the scoring against Bournemouth.
Casemiro – 5
Not his best performance, but scored a header at the back post. Casemiro made a ridiculous challenge leading up to Bournemouth’s third goal.
Bruno Fernandes – 7
Fernandes scored a sensational free-kick in the final 15 minutes. He also got involved in several battles in midfield and kept United moving forward with his range of passing.
Diogo Dalot – 7
Stunning cross for Amad’s opening goal, but Diogo Dalot was down injured when Bournemouth scored their second equaliser. He is growing into the left wing-back role, which is a great surprise.
Bryan Mbeumo – 5
Even though he lacked end product, Bryan Mbeumo kept Bournemouth on their toes throughout the game. He was unlucky not to have scored a volley in the first half.
Mason Mount – 7
Mason Mount is now adding consistency to his game after another impressive performance that saw him press Bournemouth like a dog, often winning back the ball for United.
Matheus Cunha – 7
Not only a creative spark in the false nine role, but Cunha added to his tally of goals for United with another strong performance from the Brazilian. Took his goal brilliantly after a sublime first touch.
Subs
Kobbie Mainoo – 7
Amorim brought Kobbie Mainoo on when he was chasing the game, and the academy graduate looked strong in midfield and played a key role in a hard-fought draw.
Lisandro Martinez – 6
More minutes under Lisandro Martinez’s belt. That’s the biggest positive you can say for his contribution.
Benjamin Sesko – 6
It was great to see Benjamin Sesko make his appearance after spending the past month out with a knee injury.
Patrick Dorgu – 5
Like Joshua Zirkzee, he only got a few minutes on the pitch.
Joshua Zirkzee – 5
Came on too late to have an impact on the game.
