Watch: Fernandes fumes as Man Utd lose lead twice in Bournemouth draw

No help: Bruno Fernandes notched a goal and an assist in an eight-goal draw

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes was left apoplectic after the Red Devils dropped points for the third time in as many home matches on Monday night.

Fernandes was back on the scoresheet as United played out a thrilling 4-4 draw with Bournemouth at Old Trafford.

The match made for brilliant viewing for the neutral, but was less entertaining for the home team.

United started the match with front-footed attacking football, but twice gave up the lead and were ultimately forced to split the points.

Fernandes caught Bournemouth goalkeeper Djorde Petrovic wrong-footed with a stunning free-kick after 77 minutes to level the match at three apiece, moments before Matheus Cunha put United back in front.

They were pegged back again, though, by Junior Kroupi, leaving Fernandes furious at the full-time whistle.

The Portuguese also assisted Casemiro’s goal in first-half injury time, which put the Red Devils ahead at 2-1.

Fernandes’ performance took him to the top of the Premier League Playmaker Award standings with seven assists, but that will be scant consolation.

He is on a remarkable run of form, too, with nine goal contributions in his last nine Premier League appearances.
