Manchester United had to settle for a 4-4 draw against Bournemouth after giving up a lead three times.
Ruben Amorim‘s Red Devils have now gone three matches at Old Trafford without a win. It’s a run nobody wants to continue for much longer.
United attacked well, but defensive mistakes allowed Bournemouth to claim a point, in an entertaining 4-4 draw. And they could have had all three, with Senne Lammens having to bail out his defenders in stoppage time.

It was a game where United should have been out of sight, allowing Bournemouth a way back in.
Before Bournemouth equalised in the 40th minute, United should have been 2-0 or 3-0 up.
And while Casemiro restored the lead before half-time, United then blew the game wide open with a poor start to the second half.
Former United star Edwin van der Sar was unimpressed.

How Edwin van der Sar reacted to Man Utd’s performance
Former Manchester United great Edwin van der Sar was keeping up with his former team, and was left dumbfounded by the team’s start to the second half.
United conceded two early goals after the break, quickly going from 2-1 up to 3-2 down.
Van der Sar posted on X: “Quickly walked the dog at half time and what happened ffs in Manchester?”
United rallied back to reclaim a 4-3 lead thanks to goals from Bruno Fernandes and Matheus Cunha, but unfortunately the drama was not done.
Bournemouth grabbed an equaliser and almost snatched a stoppage time winner.
Van der Sar praised Lammens’ intervention – but admitted his overall feeling was a disappointed one.
He posted: “Pfff 2 good saves at the end but disappointing result from the team to have another setback at home!”

Manchester United struggling to put it together
Manchester United could have moved up to fifth in the Premier League table with a win, level on points with fourth.
The draw places United in sixth, an improvement from beginning the day in eighth place.
But this was an opportunity missed, and the games are about to get tougher.
United face Aston Villa away and Newcastle at home, and will be without Bryan Mbeumo and Amad, who are now off to the African Cup of Nations along with Noussair Mazraoui.
