They started poorly and trailed early on, but Antoine Semenyo equalised, before Casemiro put the hosts back in front at halftime.
But a rapid start to the second half saw Iraola’s men take the lead, with an Evanilson goal and a Marcus Tavernier free kick.
United came back into it and retook the lead themselves with two goals in three minutes, but substitute Junior Kroupi snatched a point back for Bournemouth.
The Daily Echo rates the Cherries players in their draw at Old Trafford.
**Djordje Petrovic: 4**
The Serbian did not have his best night at Old Trafford. He should have done much better with the second United goal, and looked like his confidence had taken a hit afterwards.
**Adrien Truffert: 5**
Not the Frenchman’s best performance since arriving in the summer, as he struggled with the threat of Amad early on, prompting Iraola to switch Alex Jimenez to the left wing to assist. The left was much more solid thereafter. Truffert will be frustrated he wasn’t able to deal with the ball better for United’s fourth – although it was tough for him to reposition his feet to get a decent clearance away.
**Marcos Senesi: 7**
The Argentine showed just how key he is to the Cherries backline, marshalling the defence and regularly sweeping up at the back. A key part of the season so far.

**Bafode Diakite: 6**
A solid showing from the Frenchman in a busy day for the defences.
**Adam Smith: 6**
The captain was good and picked up an assist for Semenyo’s equaliser.
**Tyler Adams: N/A**
The American went off injured in the opening minutes.
**Marcus Tavernier: 8**
An impressive showing from the Englishman. Playing once again in a deeper role than usual, he was a big part of why the Cherries were able to turn the game around in the second half. An excellent pass for Evanilson’s equaliser, before a brilliant free kick to hand the Cherries the lead.

**Alex Jimenez: 8**
The young Spaniard, playing again on the wing, was excellent. Iraola praised him for how they were able to gain a foothold in the game after a poor opening 20 minutes, as he switched to the left to assist Truffert. Jimenez was very lively going forward, too, and his driving run created Kroupi’s equaliser.
**Justin Kluivert: 7**
The Dutchman seems to be finding some form after a disrupted first half of the season. He was bright going forward – and will be key for the Cherries in properly turning their form around.

**Antoine Semenyo: 8**
A much-improved Semenyo performance. The Ghanaian scored a brilliant first half equaliser and was a constant threat to the United back line.
**Evanilson: 8**
A huge goal for the Brazilian – with a fantastic finish back across Lammens. That will be massive for his confidence in an all-round impressive display. He’ll be hoping to get on something of a run, now.

**Substitutes:**
**Alex Scott: 8**
The Englishman slotted in really well after coming on for Adams, playing in the deeper six role. He may be needed there for the weeks to come.
**Junior Kroupi: 7**
A very well taken goal from the young Frenchman.
**James Hill: 6**
**David Brooks: 6**
