Liverpool and Chelsea nudge in to provide Arsenal competition for huge signing

Earlier this month, journalist Gianni Balzarini reported Arsenal have made initial contact for Kenan Yildiz. Now, Liverpool and Chelsea are thrown into the race for the Juventus talent.

Today’s TuttoSport covers youngster’s contract situation in Turin.

The newspaper, based in the Italian city, explains important days are approaching for Yildiz’s renewal. His father is in the city and Jorge Mendes is expected to be the mediator in discussions.

So far, Juve have struggled to meet the attacker’s wage demands. He wants to earn as much as €6m in the new deal and due to this, talks have stuttered. Salaries in Italian football are usually reported after tax.

In the meantime, the list of suitors is growing. Liverpool and Chelsea are credited with interest by Tuttosport, with Real Madrid also mentioned.

To beat competition from Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, Juve are set to push again before Christmas.

Yildiz is also keen on making sure that his ambitions are matched by the Bianconeri. If that doesn’t happen and his wage demands aren’t met, European giants will have a big chance of landing the 20-year-old.

How much of this is agents pushing for a better Juventus deal is unclear.
