Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha could be United’s new most important connection
United’s summer overhaul of the attack has borne fruit, with more goals and exciting play than last season; however, for Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko, there should be a lot more to come.
Cunha and Sesko have played just 502 minutes of football together, scoring two each, while Cunha also has an assist.
However, they’ve not linked up at all for any of these goals, but the closest they came was on Monday night.

Cunha was brilliant for United, and his goal came thanks to a stampeding run from Sesko, who took it from Bryan Mbeumo before running goal-bound.
The Slovenian’s cross was timid and straight at the defender, but it luckily poked through to Cunha, who finished excellently in the bottom corner past the Bournemouth keeper.
Going forward, United will need to see a lot more from this duo.
Sesko and Cunha must now kick on for Manchester United
The duo of Sesko and Cunha were the slower starters this season for United when compared with Mbeumo, but that cannot continue.
Mbeumo has now left United for AFCON with Cameroon, despite their national team being in a bit of a crisis.
United will need Cunha and Mbeumo to step up big time, and the Brazilian in particular already has been with a goal and an assist in his previous two appearances.
This partnership could be key for United going forward, and potentially the most important factor in the Red Devils surviving AFCON.
