Everton and Fulham competing for Manchester United player – Six-month loan floated

Kobbie Mainoo played over 30 minutes for Manchester United against Bournemouth. Despite it being a significant improvement on how much he has played this season, he’s still though to have an uncertain future, and Everton and Fulham are emerging as options.

Il Mattino – relayed by CN24, report on Napoli’s efforts to sign the 20-year-old. The Italian club have an injury crisis in midfield and wanted Mainoo as soon as the window opens. However, Ruben Amorim is concerned about numbers given AFCON and wants exits delayed.

Napoli, who are also aware of increased interest in the midfielder, are looking at alternatives.

Il Mattino report Everton, Fulham and Galatasaray are interested in a six-month loan deal. Bundesliga clubs have also come forward for the youngster.

In the meantime, Mainoo’s former Manchester United teammates Scott McTominay and Rasmus Hojlund have had WhatsApp conversations with the midfielder already. That is why Napoli are still viewed seen a ‘top choice’ by the player.

The race is far from done, though. Everton and Fulham still have a chance and everything can come down to timing. Should Antonio Conte throw a typical tantrum and demand a quick arrival, it may not be Mainoo.
