Bruno Fernandes has dismissed claims that he is the most annoying player in the Premier League by naming a worse culprit who plays for rivals Man City.
It has been the case ever since Bruno Fernandes joined Manchester United that he hasn’t got the appreciation he deserves in England.
Fernandes has consistently been United’s best player since joining the club from Sporting CP in January 2020. Despite winning United’s Player of the Year four times, it has been debated this season whether United should have cashed in on the Portugal international.
The reason for that is not Fernandes’ performances, but more to do with how Ruben Amorim has been playing him in a deeper role when he’s more suited to further forward as one of the No 10s positioned behind a striker.

The United star has argued that he is not the most annoying player in the Premier League, contrary to widespread opinion.
Fernandes argued that Man City and Portugal playmaker Bernardo Silva is a worse culprit for being annoying.
Speaking to Canal 11 in a new interview, as quoted by Daily Mail reporter Nathan Salt, Fernandes said: “My image on the pitch makes me seem like someone who’s always complaining, but Bernardo Silva is more annoying than me!
“He’s politically correct and I’m not! My problem is talking with my arms.”

Bruno Fernandes still topping European charts
Although Fernandes doesn’t get the plaudits he deserves at United, the 31-year-old is still topping charts for his creative output.
Fernandes has created more chances (50) than any other player across Europe’s top five leagues so far this season, as per Statman Dave.
This is a remarkable record since Fernandes is being asked to play in a deeper role this season. It’s further proof that he is a world-class playmaker.
