The dust has settled from Monday night’s rollercoaster 4-4 draw between Manchester United and Bournemouth.
It was a game that showcased the good and the bad of United under Ruben Amorim this season. On one hand, United’s free-flowing attack excited Michael Carrick, but on the other, the defence conceded four.

The performance saw several United players catch the eye, mainly the attackers, and fans feel the exact same way, as demonstrated in the voting for man of the match.
Specifically, two players dominated.

United’s performance was such that there were two major contenders right out of the gate for the player of the match award.
Bruno Fernandes was voted as the winner on the club’s official website with 40 per cent. Meanwhile runner-up was Matheus Cunha with 27 per cent.
Fernandes was praised by Andoni Iraola after the match, deservingly so after his goal and assist. Meanwhile, Gary Neville picked out Cunha for his performance.

While Fernandes won the club’s official vote, it was Cunha who triumphed for United in Focus, with over 2,200 votes at the time of writing.

Cunha picked up 723 of the available votes, while Fernandes was second placed to him with 621. Roughly 100 less at the time of writing.

Bruno Fernandes – 28.19 per cent
Senne Lammens – 14.65 per cent
Amad – 14.37 per cent
Amorim praised Cunha after the game, with his performance being really impressive and arguably his best in a United shirt.
