Bruno Fernandes and Bryan Mbeumo are Manchester United’s top scorers this season but they are also leading a key Premier League stat.
In the latest 4-4 draw with Bournemouth at Old Trafford, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes was the star of the show once again.
Fernandes assisted Casemiro from a corner and scored a stunning free-kick to increase his goal involvements to 12 this season.

It was also the last game for Bryan Mbeumo before he joins up with the Cameroon squad for AFCON.
Mbeumo will be a huge miss for Ruben Amorim over the next month, especially as he is much more than just a scorer in this United side.

As it stands, Fernandes is top of the assist charts in the Premier League and is on track to break his own record.
The Portuguese playmaker has topped the chances created table in the Premier League for several seasons, and he also ranks top for the number of through balls played.

According to Premier League stats, Fernandes has completed 15 through passes, while Mbeumo sits second on 12. The only player in the league level with Mbeumo is Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimaraes.

Amorim has urged United to be more daring going forward and clearly Fernandes and Mbeumo are two of the biggest creators in the side.
Mbeumo only has one assist this season, but evidently, he is finding plenty of teammates in space.
Bruno Fernandes is thriving in a deeper role
There has been much said about Fernandes dropping into a central midfield role this season, but it certainly hasn’t limited his impact in the final third.
Playing alongside Casemiro, Fernandes is given the freedom to roam by Amorim and he is performing brilliantly around the box.

Fernandes has been criticised in the past for often rushing to find a final pass and wasting possession, but his risk-free style of play works well when the likes of Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha are always on the move.
United are now creating more chances than any other team in the Premier League, and Amorim will be pleased to see that Fernandes and Mbeumo are leading the charge.
