European Giants Eyeing Bruno Fernandes' Low Buyout Clause For 2026 Move

While it remains to be seen how the remainder of Manchester United's campaign plays out, it is clear that the club's biggest star has grown disillusioned with the way he has been treated in recent times.

Bruno Fernandes would make some bombshell revelations in an interview published yesterday. Not only did he suggest that the club wanted to sell him during the summer only to cower out of the move, but he also hinted that some of his teammates have been much less committed than he has in recent times.

These comments could put a further strain on the player's relationship with Bruno Fernandes, although one European giant is said to be monitoring the situation.

European Giants Eyeing Bruno Fernandes For 2026 Move

Talksport are reporting that Bayern Munich are interested in signing Bruno Fernandes next summer. Not only that, but the midfielder is also said to have a £57million release clause in his deal that kicks in at the end of the current season.

While he will turn 32-years old in 2026, that fee seems very reasonable for a player of Fernandes' ability. Bayern have also shown in recent seasons that they are not afraid to spend significant sums on players in the latter stages of their careers.

Manchester United were reportedly offered from Saudi Arabia £100million for the Portuguese midfielder last summer, a move that the player would ultimately reject. As Fernandes himself said, the club were thought to be keen for the deal to go through at the time.

The player himself would perhaps be more keen to move to another club in Europe, especially one with genuine ambitions of competing for the biggest honours.

It will be interesting to see if Manchester United and Fernandes may feel that a parting of ways may suit all parties next summer.
