Video: Furious Amorim spotted raging at United star during 4-4 draw with Bournemouth

A video has surfaced on social media, showing Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim fuming at Leny Yoro during Monday’s 4-4 draw against Bournemouth.

Yoro struggles vs. Bournemouth

Yoro has been in patchy form over the past few weeks and endured another difficult game against Bournemouth at Old Trafford.

In the absence of the injured Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui, who was blocked from playing by Morocco, Amorim deployed Yoro on the right side of the three-man defence.

Yoro continuously lost runners in the high-scoring contest and struggled a bit before being withdrawn after 69 minutes. He was replaced by Lisandro Martinez.

During the time he was on the pitch, Yoro won the one tackle he put in and made six clearances.

The France youth international came out on top in one of three aerial duels he contested and four of the seven ground challenges he vied for.

While his talent is undeniable and he will certainly be back to his best very soon, it’s clear that Yoro is going through a difficult time and needs support from his teammates, manager and supporters.

But Amorim was visibly frustrated on Monday, with a new video showing the Portuguese coach raging at Yoro in the technical area as United played the Cherries.

Amorim furious with Yoro

In the video, Amorim is seen venting his exasperation at his backroom staff, with his criticism appearing particularly directed at Yoro.

Amorim then throws his arms in the air in a flurry of animated gestures before slumping back into his seat.

He proceeds to say in his native Portuguese, “The ball has gone for half an hour, what is Leny doing?” It remains unclear the precise incident that sparked Amorim’s anger.
