Bruno Fernandes’ most chances stat for Man Utd in the Premier League is compared with ex-Man City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne
Kevin De Bruyne left Manchester City at the end of the 2024-25 season and the 34-year-old Belgian playmaker completed a free transfer to Napoli back in the summer.
The Napoli midfielder spent much longer in the Premier League than Fernandes, having played for Chelsea first in England before later moving to the Etihad in 2015.

Fernandes has created a whopping 579 chances compared with De Bruyne’s 508, but the United captain has played more matches and minutes than him as well.

However, the Portugal international’s high chance-creation rate also shows that Fernandes has not seen a massive return at all times with his assist record.
The Premier League’s official website has highlighted that the United midfielder’s expected assists (XA) in the Premier League sit at 51.8 since his 2020 transfer.
When Fernandes’ XA is compared with De Bruyne’s whole time period in the Premier League, the former City star has an eye-watering 91.26 expected assists – playing 77 more games.
It shows how Manchester United lacking a truly elite striker over this period has prevented the team from really capitalising on Fernandes’ devastating passing ability.
