Roy Keane has admitted that he keeps “getting drawn back” to one eye-opening aspect of Manchester United’s thrilling 4-4 Premier League draw against Bournemouth.
The 54-year-old former Manchester United captain appeared on the latest episode of The Overlap’s Stick to Football show and offered his two cents on Monday’s match.

United hosted Bournemouth at Old Trafford and the Red Devils dropped valuable Premier League points after the Cherries fought back in the Premier League clash.
The Red Devils were 2-1 up at half-time thanks to Amad Diallo and Casemiro, but Bournemouth climbed into the lead only 10 minutes inside the second half.
United chased the second half against Bournemouth before Bruno Fernandes netted from a free-kick, while Matheus Cunha put the Red Devils back into the lead two minutes later.

Manchester United fans felt that the Red Devils were on the verge of snatching all three points at Old Trafford after Matheus Cunha scored in the 79th minute.

However, Eli Junior Kroupi found the back of the net for Bournemouth in the 84th minute and ensured that the scoreline ended at 4-4 on Monday evening.
Roy Keane said that he “enjoyed” the enthralling Premier League clash between United and Bournemouth and there were positives to take away from the match.

However, the United legend could not overlook how defensively vulnerable the Red Devils appeared to be against the Cherries in Ruben Amorim’s tactical system.
“Yeah, a lot of positives,” Keane admitted on the Stick to Football podcast.
“Yeah, I enjoyed the game. A lot of positives. A lot of negatives. A lot of negatives, yeah. They scored four, could have scored eight.
“Conceded four and they could have conceded eight. Is that a good way of looking at it?
“Yeah, at least there’s a goal threat now, but still poor at the back. I keep getting drawn back to that.”

United are sixth in the Premier League table and the Red Devils are two points adrift from fourth-place Chelsea after Monday evening’s result against Bournemouth.
Keane insisted that the defences of United and Bournemouth were not the only issue in the match, with the Sky Sports pundit critical of both shot-stoppers as well.

“See, I look at football… I love watching the goals and obviously, I suppose [it’s] the way I played towards my career, I still look at the defensive side of it. I do,” he said.
“I think some of the goals teams are giving away as shock and I think the standard of goalkeeping is really poor.
“So, I can also focus on that. But in terms of watching the game, it was an enjoyable game.
“Because we watch football for goals ultimately, but you want to see better defending.”
Aston Villa will now host United at Villa Park on Sunday evening, with kick-off for the Premier League clash slated for 4:30pm UK time.
