**YORK-BORN star Jess Park secured Manchester United a seeded spot in the UEFA Women's Champions League in Italy last night.**

The former York City starlet was on the scoresheet as the Red Devils narrowly beat Juventus 1-0 at the Allianz Arena in Turin on Wednesday evening, with Park's goal being the only difference in the Champions League clash.

It was a needed win for Manchester United, who had lost 3-0 to holder OL Lyonnes the week before, whilst also having to claw back from three goals down for a 3-3 draw hosting Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend

Park was involved in both games, and took centre stage as United broke into the top six of the Women's Champions League.

They had already finalised a place in the top 12 prior to Wednesday's match, but were keen to ensure a seeded draw which would give them a home tie first in the upcoming two legged play-offs.

Park, who graduated through the York City Regional Talent Club as a youngster, made the daring Deadline Day switch to the red of Manchester after an eight year stint with city rivals Manchester City.

She has since become a focal point of the Red Devils' team, featuring 11 times in the Women's Super League, scoring on four occasions and assisting twice.

The 24-year-old is also an England international, as she continues to write headlines with Manchester United.
