Manchester United will be without several key players for their trip to Aston Villa this Sunday.
This will be the first match Ruben Amorim’s side will play without the players who have joined their national teams for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Noussair Mazraoui, Amad Diallo, and Bryan Mbeumo are all unavailable as they travel to represent their countries at the tournament.
The Red Devils come into the game following a 4-4 draw with Bournemouth, but they suffered another setback ahead of the Villa clash.
Midfielder Casemiro will miss the match at Villa Park due to suspension, having received his fifth caution of the league campaign earlier this week.
United also face two injury doubts, with Harry Maguire and Matthijs De Ligt both dealing with fitness issues.
The defensive duo missed the draw against Bournemouth, and at his post-match press conference, Amorim said he was unsure whether either player would be fit for the upcoming fixture.
Against Bournemouth, Amorim deployed a defence of Leny Yoro, Ayden Heaven, Luke Shaw, and Diogo Dalot.
Aston Villa, meanwhile, will assess Emi Martinez ahead of the match, as the goalkeeper has missed the last two games due to a back injury.
Pau Torres, Tyrone Mings, and Ross Barkley are also sidelined, while Jadon Sancho is unavailable to play against his parent club.
