Kai Rooney continues his development at Man Utd amid the huge expectations on his shoulders at Old Trafford

Rooney’s presence in the United youth academy will always continue to attract attention, considering his father’s legendary status at Old Trafford as a player.

However, the United winger is continuing to focus on his own development and has to deal with the already massive expectations on his shoulders at the Red Devils.

Rooney’s return to action with the Under-18s was a welcome sign for United fans after he was sidelined for a lengthy period of time early in the current season.

The United talent had netted back in August against Middlesbrough Under-18s in the Red Devils’ 5-0 win in the 2025-26 Premier League Cup competition this season.
