What Man Utd sources are saying about Bruno Fernandes and Mo Salah behind the scenes

Two bombshell interviews from Bruno Fernandes and Mohamed Salah have resulted in further uncertainty over the future of the best players at Manchester United and Liverpool.

Bruno Fernandes turned down a move to Saudi Arabia and committed his future to Manchester United in the summer.

As club captain, Fernandes remains a key player under Ruben Amorim but is now deployed alongside Casemiro. That means the Portugal international doesn’t solely focus on what happens in the final third as he’s now trying to start transitions from deeper positions.

Bruno Fernandes says he felt United were happy for him to leave in the summer!

That hasn’t stopped Fernandes’ incredible creative output, with the 32-year-old regularly contributing goals, whether it’s scoring them himself or setting them up for his teammates.

Fernandes is next in action on Sunday when United travel to face Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Bruno Fernandes interview compared to Mohamed Salah outburst

Fernandes felt United wanted to sell him in the summer as revealed in an explosive interview that was released this week despite being conducted during the November international break.

There was a £100m offer on the table from Saudi Arabia, but that wasn’t enough to change Fernandes’ mind about staying at Old Trafford.

Respected reporter Dean Jones has investigated the interview further by stating it has angered club officials at United, as per FlashScore.

Jones claims that some sources believe Fernandes may be angling for a transfer after aiming at the club, which is why they want to learn more about why he made his comments.

It is understood that some club sources have compared Fernandes’ recent interview to Mohamed Salah’s recent outburst at Liverpool.

Salah has been the subject of transfer speculation ever since and has been tipped to move to his career in Saudi Arabia in 2026.

It remains to be seen if United will be busy in January, but it would be a major shock if the Red Devils accepted an offer for Fernandes midway through the season.

Angelo Stiller seen as potential Bruno Fernandes replacement

The same report claims that VfB Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller remains a United target.

It is noted that the Bundesliga is viewed as a replacement for Fernandes, though he is probably better suited to the number 8 role.

Bastian Schweinsteiger rates Stiller and recently urged Bayern Munich to sign the German midfielder.
