Manchester United could face a tough test when they visit Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Red Devils have been much improved of late after a dismal start to the campaign, with Ruben Amorim’s side now sitting sixth in the top flight standings.
Victory at Villa Park could move United as high as fourth in the table if other results go their way, and off the pitch it appears that those in charge of the club’s recruitment are working on a deal to sign a Premier League star.
As per CaughtOffside, Man United have been in contact with Bournemouth about a possible move for Antoine Semenyo.
The report claims that the Red Devils have made calls to the Cherries in the past couple of days in order to discuss a move for the Ghana international.
Semenyo, 25, is enjoying a fine campaign for the Cherries, having netted seven goals and provided three assists in 15 Premier League matches so far.
The forward netted in Bournemouth’s 4-4 draw against Man United last time out, but it appears that the Red Devils will face fierce competition in the race to land the attacker.

Manchester City, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur are all also said to be interested in Semenyo, with it currently unclear who is leading the race to sigh him.
Semenyo was linked with a move away from Bournemouth over the summer but ended speculation by signing a new contract with the club.
That deal is set to run until 2030, but the report claims that it includes a release clause set at £65 million – set to drop to £60 million next summer – and it is unclear whether or not clubs will attempt to sign the forward in January.
