Everything you need to know about Bruno Fernandes' recent appearance on the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast...
A 'pressure' revelation: The United skipper explained how nobody is more demanding of his abilities than he is himself, citing how he knows how to deal with the outside noise. He also noted that despite achieving things even his wildest dreams couldn't conjure up, he is constantly wanting more.
United can still win trophies: On winning league and cup titles, Fernandes said: "I wouldn't have stayed here if the club hasn't told me our aim is still to get the highest we can be, get back to winning trophies, get back to be the club we were before."
An affection for the club: Elsewhere, Fernandes claimed that he had opportunities to leave the club this summer but opted to stay as a result of his love for the Reds. He said: "I think when we struggled the most, I stayed present to the club and I think everyone at the club, I hope, is aware of that because the chances I had were very good."
Manchester United regrets: The 31-year-old did, however, explain that his tenure at Old Trafford hasn't all been plain sailing. He outlined how he has been unable to lift as many trophies as he "should and could" with the Reds due to poor performances.
An exit bombshell: Fernandes spoke to Ferdinand earlier this month, ahead of a damning interview with Canal 11, in which, Fernandes claimed that the club wanted to ship him off this summer to Al-Hilal.
Al-Hilal's '£100m offer': The Saudi giants were said to be prepared to hand United a £100m transfer fee for Fernandes' services this summer. The club were also reportedly willing to pay the star £700,000 per week in wages in a mega-money move.
The club's stance differs: As per reports, the United hierarchy made it clear to Fernandes that he remained instrumental to their plans going forward, and that they were not prepared to sell him over the course of the summer.
Up next for Fernandes: Up next for Fernandes is a trip to Villa Park with Manchester United in the Premier League come Sunday, December 21.
