Rasmus Hojlund played a key role in Napoli’s Super Cup Italiana semi-final win over AC Milan on Thursday night.
After being cast aside at Manchester United at the beginning of the season, Rasmus Hojlund joined Napoli on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
Hojlund hit the ground running at Napoli and recently scored a brace in a 2-1 win over Juventus.
Napoli are trying to defend their Serie A title and sit third in the current standings, but they were in Super Cup Italiana action on Thursday as the United loanee was influential in an important win.

Rasmus Hojlund plays role in two goals against AC Milan
Napoli secured a place in the Super Cup Italiana final by beating AC Milan 2-0 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Serie A champions will have to wait until Friday’s other semi-final between Bologna and Inter Milan before they find out who their opponents will be in the final.

Napoli opened the scoring before half-time when David Neres tapped in at the back post, however, it was Hojlund who squared the ball from the by-line through Koni De Winter and Mike Maignan.

After the hour mark, Hojlund doubled Napoli’s lead when he ran onto a through ball from Leonardo Spinazzola before turning De Winter and beating Maignan from a tight angle.
Meanwhile, former United midfielder Scott McTominay was booked after a scuffle with Fikayo Tomori.
Napoli’s latest result over AC Milan means Hojlund has a great opportunity to win some silverware during his loan spell.

Hojlund scored a goal and recorded an assist against AC Milan.
The striker played 82 minutes before being replaced by Lorenzo Lucca.
With three shots to his name, Hojlund touched the ball 32 times, including nine touches in AC Milan’s box.
Hojlund now has seven goals to his name for Napoli this season.
