Despite Fernandes’ recent interview about the club and his future, he will go down as a legend of United. Now, he’s been asked to pick out his dream five-a-side of teammates through his career.
The quality included says it all about the career he has had.

Bruno Fernandes picks Juan Mata in best five-a-side team of former teammates
When Bruno Fernandes first arrived at the club, he donned the number 18 shirt, with Juan Mata the eight at the time.
Fernandes took Mata’s number eight shirt in 2022 when the Spaniard departed the club, with full respect and a friendship between the two.

Now, while speaking to Rio Ferdinand on the latest episode of ‘Rio Meets’ on YouTube, Fernandes has hailed his former teammates.
“Juan Mata was one of the most special players I have played with… in terms of technical ability, he is probably one of the best.”

This is quite a team and could rival anybody’s five-a-side team, and it looks even better when considering the players who missed out, such as Raphael Varane, Edinson Cavani, Marcus Rashford and of course Fernandes himself.
Why Bruno Fernandes picked Paul Pogba in dream team
One pick, which could be a surprising one considering potential alternatives, was Pogba, who Fernandes put as a midfielder in his team.
But in the interview with Ferdinand, Fernandes explained why he picked the Frenchman.
“He has everything. He could do everything as a midfielder. He’s the most complete midfielder that I’ve seen for a long time.”
This is no shock, as Pogba was a very special footballer at his best, completely unplayable and the best midfielder the club has had post Sir Alex Ferguson, outside of Fernandes.
