Manchester United are expected to go ‘all-out’ in their pursuit of Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo in January, The Telegraph journalist James Ducker has revealed.
The Old Trafford side have reportedly identified the Ghana international as one of their top targets for 2026, with Semenyo available via a £65m release clause.
The 25-year-old has no shortage of suitors ahead of the market reopening next month, with Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham among those interested.
United hope uncertainty over Pep Guardiola’s future at Manchester City could allow them to leapfrog their rivals in the race for Semenyo, with the Spanish coach potentially leaving at the end of the season.
Man United to Step Up Semenyo Pursuit

According to Ducker, United wanted to sign Semenyo last summer but were put off by Bournemouth’s £80m-plus asking price.
The Red Devils have maintained their interest after Semenyo signed a new five-year contract that has lowered his price to £65m.
Ruben Amorim is believed to be a huge admirer of the winger and saw Semenyo score against his side on Monday, when United and Bournemouth played out an entertaining 4-4 draw.
Unlike Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo, Semenyo has not travelled to the Africa Cup of Nations, as Ghana failed to qualify for the tournament.
This reportedly holds further appeal for United as they look to compensate for the loss of key forwards, who could miss almost a month of Premier League football.
The Old Trafford side recently welcomed back Benjamin Sesko following his injury absence, with the Slovenian coming off the bench against Bournemouth on Monday.
Semenyo’s Season in Numbers

Now in his third year at Bournemouth, it is safe to say Semenyo is playing the best football of his career this season.
The winger has seven goals and three assists in 15 league appearances and started the campaign strongly, registering nine goal contributions in his first seven games.
Semenyo’s displays have earned widespread praise, with some hailing him as ‘the best player in the Premier League’ this campaign.
He ranks joint-third for goals scored, behind Erling Haaland and Igor Thiago, and joint-10th for assists this term.
Midfielder Remains a Priority

Despite their growing interest in Semenyo, United are still expected to prioritise a new midfielder when the market reopens next year.
While Carlos Baleba, Elliot Anderson and Adam Wharton remain high on the shortlist, United could also explore low-cost options, including a short-term deal for Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher.
