Rasmus Hojlund has shared a spirited message on social media following his goal in Napoli's Supercoppa semi-final triumph over AC Milan - a fixture which also saw his former Manchester United teammate Scott McTominay held back after a fiery confrontation. The 2-0 victory against their Serie A rivals secured Antonio Conte's squad a spot in the final - where they'll face either Bologna or Inter Milan, who clash on Friday night.

The four-club competition, taking place in Saudi Arabia this year, includes the champions and runners-up from last season's Serie A and Coppa Italia. There won't be back-to-back winners, as defending champions AC Milan have now been knocked out of the competition.

Hojlund - who is loan at Napoli from United - netted in the 63rd minute to provide his side with a comfortable cushion heading into the final stages. Alongside the significance of his strike, the Danish forward's post-match social media behaviour also caught some attention.

He shared a photograph of himself sprawled on the turf after tumbling in the wake of his goal. The image came with the words: "No context Rasmus."

Supporters seemed largely unbothered by the mysterious caption, instead flooding the replies with compliments for the forward - who appears to be regaining his confidence since leaving United this summer. Another former United player flourishing since departing Old Trafford is McTominay.

He was also involved against AC Milan, although his night featured a contrasting type of incident. With 81 minutes on the clock, AC Milan were granted a free-kick after a tackle from the Scotland international.

The ball subsequently found its way to ex-Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori, who seemed to kick it back towards McTominay. The situation quickly escalated between the two teams.

If not for the neutral location of Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh, things could have become even more heated. McTominay took umbrage at Tomori's actions and confronted the defender, going head-to-head until Napoli striker Lorenzo Lucca stepped in to restrain him.

Both players received yellow cards, and Napoli managed to hold their ground for the rest of the match, securing their spot in the Supercoppa final set for Monday night. Meanwhile, back in Serie A, the title race is still too close to call as we head into 2026.

Only three points separate the top four, with Napoli currently in third place, trailing leaders Inter Milan by two points. Hojlund and McTominay might soon be joined by another former United teammate - as Kobbie Mainoo is rumoured to be on his way to Naples in the January transfer window.

However, Ruben Amorim's team are reportedly demanding an 'exceptional offer' before they would even consider selling the academy graduate.
