Chelsea are ready to renew their interest in signing Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo.
Mainoo’s future is up in the air with the 20-year-old struggling for favour under Ruben Amorim. He has failed to start a game in the Premier League this season and has totalled just 212 minutes of league action.
During the draw with Bournemouth on Monday night, Mainoo’s half-brother, Jordan, was pictured at Old Trafford wearing a ‘Free Kobbie Mainoo’ t-shirt in a message about his sibling’s lack of football.
The England international is expected to push for an exit in next month’s transfer window. The Telegraph are reporting that Chelsea are open to a deal. The West Londoners have a long-standing interest in Mainoo and saw a past enquiry for the midfielder rejected.

However, the Blues are ready to return as Enzo Maresca looks to lighten the load on Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo in midfield.
Romeo Lavia’s ongoing injuries have heightened Chelsea’s need for reinforcements. Mainoo is one of the players under consideration, alongside Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton.
As many as 10 clubs are believed to be interested in signing Mainoo, with suitors in the Premier League and Europe. Napoli are among those heavily linked, where Mainoo could reunite with former Manchester United teammates Rasmus Hojlund and Scott McTominay.
