Just in: Bournemouth star who Man Utd want to sign tears MCL, out for three months

Manchester United transfer target Tyler Adams has torn his medial collateral ligament (MCL), Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola has confirmed.

The United States international was forced off just five minutes into Bournemouth’s match at Manchester United on Monday, with the extent of his injury now disclosed.

According to journalist Jordan Clark, Iraola believes Adams will miss around two to three months following the setback.

Man United had been monitoring Adams ahead of the January transfer window, as the midfielder could potentially leave Bournemouth next year.
