United head into the match on a four-match unbeaten run after their 4-4 draw with Bournemouth at the start of the week, while Aston Villa have won their previous nine matches across all competitions. Ruben Amorim will make at least three changes to his Manchester United starting line up when they face Aston Villa in the Premier League this weekend.
United are already without Noussair Mazraoui after he missed the Bournemouth draw due to Africa Cup of Nations duty, while Amad Diallo and Bryan Mbeumo have both since left to participate in the international tournament as well. Casemiro will serve a one-match ban for accumulation after he received a yellow card in the last match, while Matthijs De Ligt and Harry Maguire are both out injured.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Amorim told reporters: "No, I think everyone is well, we have one more training but I think the rest are ready to go." When asked if he meant De Ligt and Maguire were available, he clarified: "No, I am saying nobody recovers, nobody is out."
De Ligt has missed the last three matches after he picked up a back injury in the away win at Crystal Palace, while Maguire has been sidelined since his hamstring injury in the draw with Tottenham Hotspur before the November international break.
