Louis Saha joined Manchester United from Fulham in January 2004, and 22 years later, there could be a similar move about to be made.
Manchester United rarely spend funds in the January transfer window, but more often than not it leads to a successful venture.
The most recent success was United signing Bruno Fernandes in January 2020 for an up-front fee of just £46m, which is a complete bargain in hindsight.

Latest transfer updates on Antoine Semenyo to Manchester United
While Amorim is a big fan of Semenyo, signing another attacker in January had looked like a long shot and overkill considering the talent already going forward.
But recently, things have taken a turn as interest heats up.
United are accelerating interest in Semenyo, looking to beat both Liverpool and Manchester City to his signature.
Semenyo is available for his £65m in the opening two weeks of January, with his release clause only valid within this time-frame, which should see this move done quickly for whoever wins the race.
We expect this to only accelerate further over the coming days.
