West Ham United Women have completed the signing of French defender Estelle Cascarino on loan from Juventus Women until June 2026, boosting the Hammers’ defensive options.
The 28-year-old arrives in east London with extensive experience at club and international level. A product of Olympique Lyonnais youth system, Cascarino’s senior career has taken in spells at Paris FC, Bordeaux and Paris Saint-Germain before her move to Juventus in 2023.
She also spent six months on loan at Manchester United Women in 2023, making appearances in the English game early in her career.
Cascarino has been capped by the France national team since 2017, representing Les Bleues across age groups and earning senior caps, including appearances at major tournaments such as the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
On the move, Cascarino said: "I’m thrilled to join West Ham United. The Women’s Super League is one of the toughest leagues in the world and I’m ready to give everything to help the team achieve our goals. I want to play my part in turning our season around and can’t wait to meet the fans."
West Ham head coach Rita Guarino, who knows Cascarino well from their time in Italian football, welcomed the signing: "Estelle brings quality, experience and leadership to our squad," she added.
"She’s a proven international defender and her arrival strengthens us at a crucial moment. We’re looking forward to working with her and integrating her into our style of play”.
Cascarino’s loan move is set to run through the end of the season, with West Ham hopeful that her presence will help solidify the defence as they push for safety and momentum in the FA Women’s Super League.
