Juventus have ‘opened discussions’ for Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi as he plans to leave on a free transfer in the summer.
That’s according to Tuttosport. They say Juventus are eyeing free transfer opportunities and the Bournemouth defender is one of them.
They know there are plenty of potential options for the summer but, because of competition, they want to start negotiations this month.
One of the names firmly in their sights is Senesi. He has, reportedly, already told Bournemouth’s management that he does not intend to renew his contract. A call came in from Manchester United in December, but they appear to have pulled away after sacking Ruben Amorim. Barcelona have already been in contact with his agents as well.
Juventus interest in the Argentine is solid, and they don’t want to waste time. A meeting between the parties is expected to take place as early as next week. They want to assess the costs and feasibility of the deal.
Senesi, for his part, wants a four-year contract and ‘embrace a winning project’. Juventus believe they can offer that with Luciano Spalletti.
It’s not the first time Spalletti has been interested either. Senesi was supposed to be Kalidou Koulibaly’s replacement at Napoli when he was there. Now a deal could be on the cards to get them together five years later.
