Lucas Perri Leeds United
Leeds United goalkeeper Lucas Perri has come under huge criticism in the last couple of weeks.
Daniel Farke has called him out in the last two games for errors. He made the goal too big for Matheus Cunha in the Manchester United game and could have done better with his save late against Newcastle United.

Fans have also complained about the Brazilian’s recent performances, with some even calling for him to be dropped for Karl Darlow.
Perri has had a mixed season, with some great performances and some horror shows. He has won Leeds some crucial points but his distribution continues to be the most criticized part of his game.
Graham Smyth discusses Lucas Perri situation at Leeds United
Farke calling the goalkeeper out has surprised many around the club including Graham Smyth. The journalist said he was very surprised at how public the comments about the Brazilian were:
“I am slightly surprised that he was criticised him so openly because he doesn’t tend to do that.” Smyth said on the Inside Elland Road podcast.
“He does with certain individuals and I think he senses that they can handle it or this is how to get the best out of them. I think Perri will probably take it on the chin, I don’t think he’s the type to flounce… and also lets remember Jaka Bijol had a bit of a shaky start to life with Leeds and people weren’t all that enamoured with him and were thinking what is this we’ve signed? I don’t think anyone’s saying that right now.”
This situation is very similar to what happened with Illan Meslier last season, and fans remember how that whole issue played out.

Daniel Farke needs to make a decision
There needs to be something done about this whole situation, and it lies with Daniel Farke. This is very similar to last season when Illan Meslier’s errors almost put Leeds in danger during the promotion race. This time, they could be costly as relegation is on the line.
Either Farke backs and sticks with Perri from now, or he decides to rotate the Brazilian with Karl Darlow. The Welsh international has shown he can be a decent deputy when called upon.
