'Broken dream' - Amad Diallo sends message after being knocked out of AFCON

Amad Diallo is on his way back to Manchester United after suffering defeat in AFCON with Ivory Coast.

Manchester United have had to navigate the busy winter period without three key players who were away competing at the African Cup of Nations.

Bryan Mbeumo will return to United this week after suffering defeat to Noussair Mazraoui’s Morocco in the quarter-finals. Mazraoui will now face Nigeria in the semi-finals.

DOES Amad start for Manchester United with his wing-back role gone? If so, where?🤔

What will Amad be thinking as he returns to an Amorim-less United?

When Amad Diallo will return for Man United

United are in action against Brighton in the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon, and clearly that match comes too soon for both Mbeumo and Amad Diallo.

After that, United host arch-rivals Manchester City in the derby on Saturday. Amad – and Mbeumo – should be available for selection.

Darren Fletcher confirmed he will take charge against Brighton, but an interim appointment is expected ahead of the derby.

Amad and Mbeumo are returning to a very different environment than when they left for AFCON, and their first match on their return will be under entirely new management.
