Marcos Senesi is set to leave Bournemouth on a free transfer this summer after telling the club he won't sign a new deal, with Manchester United, Juventus and Barcelona all interested in the Argentina defender

Manchester United's pursuit of Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi could be thwarted as they are 'busy with other matters' following the dismissal of Ruben Amorim last week.
Senesi, whose contract expires in the summer, reportedly 'received a call' from United in December, as he plans to depart from the Cherries at the end of the season, Tuttosport reports. The Argentine has informed the Bournemouth board that he has no intention of extending his current deal.
With 88 Premier League appearances under his belt since joining the Cherries from Feyenoord in 2022, he could prove to be a cost-effective acquisition for any club on a free transfer. United are among those interested, having reached out to the 28 year old's representatives last month.
However, it's suggested that United are currently preoccupied with other issues following Amorim's sacking. The Reds confirmed in a statement on Monday that the Portuguese head coach had been let go after the 1-1 draw against Leeds United.
Darren Fletcher took over as interim manager for last Wednesday's 2-2 draw at Burnley and will once again lead the team for the FA Cup match against Brighton on Sunday afternoon.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Michael Carrick are being considered for the caretaker role until the end of the season as United gear up to appoint a permanent replacement for Amorim in the summer.
With United's main priority being to resolve their managerial situation first, alongside 'various shakeups' at Old Trafford, Senesi seems to have slipped down the pecking order. This could potentially open the door for rival clubs to swoop in ahead of the Red Devils.

Juventus are reportedly interested and are planning discussions with Senesi's representatives next week, whilst Barcelona have also allegedly made contact with his camp. It appears the Argentina international has several suitors vying for his signature.
Speaking about Senesi's future last month, Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola suggested he could potentially pen a new deal at the club. "The most important thing is that he's playing very well," Iraola said on December 19.
"Both parties still have time regarding his contract situation - there are still seven months left. There is no doubt I want him to continue here."
Following the summer departures of Milos Kerkez, Illia Zabarnyi and Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth, Senesi has been tasked with marshalling a revamped Cherries backline and has performed admirably.
