Changes are imminent at Manchester United as the club looks to overcome this current period of turmoil. Ruben Amorim was dismissed as head coach earlier this week after a torrid 14 months in charge, where he appeared increasingly frustrated with transfers and the club hierarchy.
Now, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has emerged as a potential candidate to take over from interim boss Darren Fletcher as caretaker manager, with United CEO Omar Berrada and Director of Football Jason Wilcox meeting with the former player and manager this weekend.
Bruno Fernandes fears emerge
Bruno Fernandes’ team-mates reportedly fear he has had enough of the turmoil at United and will move on in the summer after six years with the club. The United captain, 31, was strongly linked with an exit last summer after a reported £100m offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.
Fernandes later admitted in November he was left feeling "hurt" and "sad" that United chiefs were willing to sell him, and that it was compatriot Amorim who persuaded him to stay in Manchester. But, six months on and with Amorim now gone, The Sun claim his team-mates are led to believe he will finally seal a transfer away in the next few months.
A source is reported to have said: “Some of the squad think Bruno has had enough and, to be honest, they don’t blame him. He always gives 100 per cent and has been the club’s best player since he joined.
“But they think that he feels let down under the new ownership model and Amorim leaving has not helped. He isn’t a likely candidate for a big-money move to Saudi because he’s a football purist.

“But no one can doubt from the moment he signed for Manchester United, he has given his all. No one wants him to leave — but his team-mates would understand if he did.”
Amorim exit blow
United could reportedly miss out on signing Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi after sacking Amorim. Tuttosport reported that Senesi, who is out of contract in the summer, received a call from United in December over a potential move at the end of the season.
The Argentine centre-back, 28, is not expected to sign a new deal, which would have put United in the running to sign him on a bargain free transfer. But the report claims United are "busy with other matters" after Amorim’s dismissal.

With United's main focus currently on sorting the managerial side out first and "various shake-ups" at Old Trafford, Senesi has seemingly been put on the back burner. That could allow others to get in ahead of the Red Devils.
Serie A giants Juventus are believed to be keen and are planning to hold talks with Senesi’s camp next week. Barcelona have reportedly been in contact with his representatives too.
