Manchester United will now have just the Premier League to focus on for the rest of the season after their defeat at the hands of Brighton. United were beaten 2-1 by the Seagulls in their FA Cup third-round tie on Sunday night.

United got on the scoresheet through Benjamin Sesko, but Brighton booked their place in the next round thanks to goals from Brajan Gruda and former United man Danny Welbeck.

Darren Fletcher was in interim charge of United for the clash at Old Trafford, with the Reds expected to ramp up their quest for a replacement for Ruben Amorim in the days ahead.
