Manchester United could still have a busy end to the January transfer window, if some of the latest reports are to be believed. United are yet to go into the market for new signings, but do have until February 2 to complete their transfer business should they wish to do so.

United have spent the last week looking for a replacement for Ruben Amorim, who left Old Trafford last Monday after their Premier League draw with Leeds United. The Red Devils have had Darren Fletcher in interim charge since Amorim’s departure, who has overseen a draw with Burnley in the Premier League and a defeat to Brighton in the third round of the FA Cup.

Elliot Anderson ‘stance’

United’s plan to sign Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson has reportedly emerged. Fabrizio Romano has reported on the Market Madness podcast that United are expected to be “busy” signing midfielders this year, but not until the summer.

Anderson is a player of interest to United, according to Romano, with the Red Devils said to be “serious contenders” to sign the midfielder at the end of the season.

Anderson is not the only midfielder mentioned by Romano as being a player of interest to United, with Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba also said to be a target.

Blackburn star ‘wanted’

United are reportedly showing an interest in signing Blackburn Rovers talent Igor Tyjon. The Sun have reported that United are now one of the clubs that have expressed an interest in signing Tyjon in the summer when his scholarship deal at Ewood Park comes to an end.

United will reportedly have to compete with Arsenal for the 17-year-old’s signature this summer, with the Gunners listed in the report as the most likely destination for Tyjon if he was to leave Blackburn.

It has been claimed that Rovers have rejected bids worth £1million for Tyjon in the past, and the Championship club would be owed compensation if he was to join an English club in the summer when his deal expires.
