Goal Italy also rated McTominay as the best player on the pitch with a 7.5 rating.

They added: “Scott McTominay, again and again. He makes a mistake on the move that led to the Nerazzurri’s first goal, but is always the last to give up. A leader, an additional striker, and Conte’s all-rounder.”

Scott McTominay is quickly becoming Man United’s biggest regret

The transfer business conducted by United over the last 10 years has been nothing short of terrible, but that usually refers to the players being brought into the club.

McTominay’s resurgence in Italy shows that United are getting it all wrong when it comes to selling players too.
