The latest Man Utd transfer news in the second full week of the January window.
Manchester United defender Louis Jackson has officially returned to the club after his loan spell at Solihull Moors came to an end. The 20-year-old joined the National League side on a season-long loan in the summer, but saw the move terminated due to a break clause in the initial agreement.
Jackson made just four senior appearances during his time at Solihull and has been recalled by United with a view to another exit later this month. The young centre-back is eager to gain some valuable senior experience after he also spent time with Tranmere Rovers last season.
Jackson joined United's academy set-up at the age of ten and became the youngest player ever to feature for the club’s Under-23 side when he did so at 15. He played a key role as United won the FA Youth Cup in 2022, as part of a side that also included Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho. The youngster has also been named in senior matchday squads, including in the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City and Premier League fixtures against Sheffield United, Burnley, and Crystal Palace.

"Louis signed for Moors in a bid to gain valuable senior experience. Louis demonstrated his ability on multiple occasions, with a stand out performance coming against Stratford Town in the Birmingham Senior Cup. Everyone at Moors would like to wish Louis all the best for the future."
United have also recalled defender Sonny Aljofree from his season-long loan with Notts County, while Toby Collyer returned to the club after an injury-ridden spell at West Brom. United also planned to recall Elyh Harrison from his loan at Shrewsbury Town, but he started for them as they were thrashed 6-1 by Wolves in the FA Cup over the weekend.
