Manchester United are interested in signing Leicester City rising star Lorenz Hutchinson, according to reports.
The Old Trafford side have reportedly identified the 17-year-old forward as another exciting addition to their youth ranks but face competition from Spanish giants Real Madrid for his signature.
Both clubs are believed to be monitoring Hutchinson’s progress closely and are in ‘constant contact’ with the highly promising striker’s representatives.
Hutchinson has scored 15 goals in 19 appearances for Leicester’s youth sides this season, including 13 goals in just 11 appearances in the U18 Premier League.

According to Spanish publication Fichajes, the race for Hutchinson’s signature is already underway, with Man United and Real Madrid viewed as the two most prominent clubs battling for the 17-year-old.
The Old Trafford side are claimed to be closely monitoring Hutchinson’s performances as they look to bring in another promising young player to bolster their academy ranks.
Hutchinson, praised as 'one of England's great attacking talents', has been in prolific form for Leicester’s U18s over the past two seasons, scoring 25 goals in 34 appearances, and was rewarded with his first professional contract in September.
Several Premier League clubs have been linked with a move for the 17-year-old over the last few months, including Nottingham Forest, but it remains to be seen whether any deal could materialise soon.
For United, transfer activity in January remains unlikely at present, as the process of appointing a new caretaker manager is still ongoing.

United promoted Darren Fletcher to an interim role following Ruben Amorim’s sacking last week and were knocked out of the FA Cup after a 2-1 loss to Brighton on Sunday.
Fletcher also oversaw a 2-2 draw with Burnley in his first game in charge. United next host Manchester City at Old Trafford on Saturday.
