Bradford City In Talks Over Ethan Wheatley Loan
Bradford City are in discussions with Manchester United over a loan deal for young forward Ethan Wheatley following his recent recall from Northampton Town, according to Sky Sports reporter Luca Bendoni and the Yorkshire Post.
Bradford City are assessing options in the forward department after Andy Cook’s loan move to Grimsby Town, with Graham Alexander keen to secure a replacement before the January window closes.
Ethan Wheatley spent the first half of the season on loan at Northampton Town, scoring three goals in 25 appearances before being recalled earlier this month. The 19-year-old has already made four senior appearances for Manchester United, becoming the club’s 250th academy graduate to feature for the first team.
Northampton boss Kevin Nolan praised the impact of the loan spell, insisting Wheatley leaves the club a better player despite an injury picked up in December limiting his availability prior to the recall.
